This is the registration page for the February 2027 Winter Workshop at the Desert Montessori School near downtown Santa Fe, NM, which includes playing in professionally coached ensembles from Friday the 12th to Monday the 15th.
Please read the descriptions and instructions carefully.
Confirmation of your registration will be sent via email following your registration submission: this only acknowledges receipt of your registration. Please wait until we email you formal workshop acceptance to make travel arrangements - it may take up to several business days for us to respond with an acceptance and provide separate instructions on how to pay your deposit and balance. Every effort is made to accommodate all qualified individuals, but sometimes it is simply not possible to accept everyone who registers for the workshop. Acceptance in the 2027 February Kammermusik Workshop depends on factors such as the number of applicants, playing levels, and available openings, as well as the specific needs of the workshop, through consultation of the workshop directors and the Kammermusik Workshops Board of Directors.

You should select this “ticket” as a registrant who will participate in the workshop. The fee covers coaching, music rental, rehearsal room rental, workshop snacks/tea/coffee and other administrative costs. NOTE: No housing options are provided for this workshop. We will separately email you regarding hotel options and you will need to make your own arrangements for your stay.NOTE: If two or more people are registering for the workshop together, it works best to please enter a separate registration for each participating player.NOTE: Guests are welcome, do not pay the registrant fee, and do not need a separate registration - simply add their meal selections to your own registration. But do provide their name and enter their dietary preferences where indicated.
This workshop is for strong players who can commit to practicing the music ahead of the workshop. We ask all new applicants to assess themselves carefully and honestly per the ACMP Guide to Playing Levels so that we can select participants and assign parts appropriately, ensuring maximum enjoyment for all. We accept Intermediate to Professional level players. If you’ve been to one of our workshops before but have improved since then, feel free to take the test again! If you haven’t been before, you may wish to send us a recording and/or a reference from a teacher to assist us in placement, though this is not an absolute requirement.

Program Notes: This year, our focus will again be on smaller chamber ensembles. Our focus will be smaller chamber ensembles. Each player will be assigned to two groups.
Pre-formed groups, for example string quartet or wind quintet, are welcome to apply. If you register as a pre-formed group, your pre-formed group will meet one half of the workshop. The other half of your time will be assigned as described above.
Note: this workshop format is highly dependent on registrations and matching playing levels. We will do our best to accommodate preferences, but we are not able to guarantee them.
PLEASE CHOOSE AT LEAST ONE OPTION FROM THE LIST.
FOR ONLY CLARINETS AND FLUTES:In order to accept more clarinets and flutes, the board is considering offering one or two sessions of a clarinet ensemble / flute ensemble with a professional coach. Participation in a flute/clarinet ensemble is not required but flexibility will allow us to increase likelihood of accepting registrations. Please choose one of the options below.
Lunches are included with the participation fee for all participants on Friday, Saturday and Monday. (The workshop will not start until 1:00 pm Sunday, allowing you time to breakfast/lunch in Santa Fe!)
