This is the registration page for the August 2024 Summer Workshop at the Lodge at Santa Fe Hotel in Santa Fe, NM, which includes playing in professionally coached ensembles from Monday the 12th to Saturday the 17th.

Please wait until we email you formal workshop acceptance to make travel arrangements - it may take up to 5 business days for us to respond with an acceptance and provide separate instructions on how to pay your deposit and balance. You should select this “ticket” as a registrant who will participate in the workshop. The fee covers coaching, music rental, rehearsal room rental, workshop snacks/tea/coffee and other administrative costs. NOTE: No housing options are provided for this workshop. We will separately email you regarding hotel options and you will need to make your own arrangements for your stay.NOTE: If two or more people are registering for the workshop together, complete the first person's registration first; then, at the bottom of the form, click Add Registration to register the second/subsequent person(s). NOTE: Guests are welcome, do not pay the registrant fee, and do not need a separate registration - simply add their meal selections to your own registration. But do provide their name and enter their dietary preferences where indicated.

This workshop is for strong players who can commit to practicing the music ahead of the workshop. We ask all new applicants to assess themselves carefully and honestly per the ACMP Guide to Playing Levels so that we can select participants and assign parts appropriately, ensuring maximum enjoyment for all. We accept Intermediate to Professional level players. If you’ve been to one of our workshops before but have improved since then, feel free to take the test again! If you haven’t been before, you may wish to send us a recording and/or a reference from a teacher to assist us in placement, though this is not an absolute requirement.

Program Notes: This year, we are changing things up! Our focus will be smaller chamber ensembles. We will organize a “two-track” day:
Half the day will feature smaller ensembles of strings + winds, just strings, and just winds, with professional coaching working on a pre-assigned piece and optional performance of one movement at the end of the day to showcase our work. These groupings will stretch over 2 days.
The other half of each day will feature participation in an ensemble that will stretch over three days of the workshop and culminate in a concert on the Saturday afternoon. Options will include slightly larger chamber ensembles: baroque, wind octet, wind decet, mixed strings/winds. Pianists are also welcome.
Pre-formed groups, for example string quartet or wind quintet, are welcome to apply. If you register as a pre-formed group, you will have your sessions that repeat each day as your pre-formed group. The other half of your day will change each day.
Note: this workshop format is highly dependent on registrations and matching playing levels. We will do our best to accommodate preferences, but we are not able to guarantee them.

Breakfast, lunch and dinner are available during the workshop. Breakfasts are available Monday - Saturday (up to 6 per person). Lunches are available Monday - Saturday (up to 6 per person). Two dinners are available, one on Monday, to celebrate the opening of the workshop, and the last on Saturday, as we close the festivities following a final concert. Please follow the guidance below to make your selections - correct counts for the caterers are crucial! :-)

The workshop is being held at the Lodge at Santa Fe hotel in Santa Fe. The hotel is on the north side, on the road up to Santa Fe opera, and it is conveniently located near Santa Fe downtown.
